It’s that time of the year again for the 39th annual Seal Beach 10k run (5k option also available).  The race begins on Saturday April 13th at 8am.  As always the faster “racers” will go first and then everyone else will follow at 8:05am.  This race is a fun time and a moderatley flat terrain.  Check out this incerpt from their website RunSealBeach:

 The 10K Course – 6.2 Miles
This looped course starts at First and Marina Drive and heads down First Street. Turn left on Ocean, continuing on Ocean to Seal Beach Blvd, crossing Pacific Coast Hwy. Follow Seal Beach Blvd. to Westminster Blvd. Left on Westminster to the San Gabriel River Bed. Turn left onto the River Bed Path and exit at the Marina Bridge. Left to First Street, right onto First Street, left on Ocean to the finish line at the pier.


There are two (2) water stations provided on the 10K course.  Water Stop 1:  located at mile marker 2 on Seal Beach Boulevard.near McGaugh Elementary School. Water Stop 2: located at mile marker 4 on Westminster Boulevard at Island Village.
Evolve Gym will be hosting a free running group every Saturday morning at 9am across the street at the Bolsa Chica run path in Huntington Beach.  Each week we will be going a little farther to help train for the 10k.  Anyone is always welcome to come with us and just do the 5k, it’s up to you.
